“You can make excuses or you can make progress, but you won’t make both.”
I enjoy speaking, training and connecting with audiences of all sizes on digital marketing, innovative business strategies and reaching one’s full potential. I’ve always tried to experience life to its fullest– from competing in full contact fighting competitions and both failing and succeeding in business, to falling head over heals for a woman I met online, marrying her, and raising two beautiful children.
All of my experiences– the good and the bad– are the foundation for the stories I tell and the unique perspectives I have on business and life in general. I strive to relate with audiences and individuals with all kinds of backgrounds and aspirations, and I hope to provide some key takeaways that will help people in their lives, occupations and relationships.
IN MY PROFESSIONAL LIFE
I am the Founder and Director of Digital Marketing Strategy for Webfor, a digital + creative agency I founded in 2009. Today, we have a talented team of web designers, seo specialists, writers, and marketers. Webfor has grown to provide an exceptional level of service I could only have dreamed of just 8 short years ago. The agency’s success is a culmination of the talent, vision and dedication of the amazing people I’ve surrounded myself with.
When I’m not working on the day-to-day business operations or SEO strategies for Webfor clients, I enjoy consulting with businesses locally and nationwide. I also serve on the board as Marketing Director for SEMpdx, a non-profit organization in Portland focusing on improving education and networking in the digital marketing industry.
In 2013, Webfor received the Vancouver Business Journal’s award for fastest growing business and I was nominated for Washington’s small business person of the year award. In 2014, I was honored as one of the Accomplished and Under 40 award winners by the VBJ. I’m also proud to announce that we’ve been nominated for the VBJ’s Growth Award again in 2015.
IN MY PERSONAL LIFE
I am a husband, a father, a fighter and a friend. When I’m not spending time with my family, hiking or practicing martial arts I love running obstacle course races like the Spartan Race, Warrior Dash or practicing at the Ridgefield Obstacle Course.
None of this would be possible without the unwavering support of my family. My wife, Jennifer, daughter Mariah, and son Brandon are a constant source of motivation and enthusiasm that helps keep me grounded in what is truly important in life.
